The concept of this track came about with the passing of my Aunty Di. I felt particularly close to her. She's the only aunty of mine whom lived outside of Adelaide so I didn't see her as often - yet she remembered birthdays better than the rest of the family. She was really special and I wrote this to help me remember her. During the writing of the song, a friend of my wife and I also passed. Both lost their battles with Cancer.

While I am saddened by the passing of my aunty, and a close friend, I recognise we must continue to "Wake Up Each Day".
